Caribbean Center 🌊 for Rising Seas
Poster Presentation
Design project for a non-profit program with the mission of preparing Puerto Rico and the Caribbean to adapt and prosper in the new era of increased risk of flooding from storm surges, surges, and rising sea levels. This program will further establish Puerto Rico's leadership and stature as a center of excellence and innovation, as part of Puerto Rico's innovation efforts. The objective of this poster is to educate and raise awareness among crucial people in the building processes in Puerto Rico, such as architects, construction workers and/or engineers. This poster does a job of visually highlighting and understanding what the CCRS program is looking for.
In the next image you can see the content provided by the program director, who helped as a starting point to reorganize the content, apply copywriting and prepare it prior to design assembly. We listen to the director's explanation, simulating how he would be presenting the poster to his prospective viewer.
After preparing the written wording and planning the presentation of the content, we develop the first version of the poster, thus validating that the information is correct before proceeding with final details. Some important details for our validation were: perspective of the beach and what was happening below the ground, position of the structures and how it is linked to the body of water.
Illustrator document organized by layers to prevent mismatches. Here's a little behind the scenes with an animation of the order of the layers.
Being the first time to project the information to be explained, we work on several information validation processes, thus making sure that what we design is consistent with what happens within this natural phenomenon. We can say that we learned a lot from the problem. )
